For
Sale: I have a brand new Kurt Urban Engine, that
needs a home. The engine is brand new. That means, a new block,
new heads, new rods, new pistons, everything is new. The engine
was dynoed and broke in. It put out 580 HP on the dyno. Really
good stuff. If you are looking to build an engine or need
something special for a project, this is it. I have receipts
going over $20k on the engine alone. Look up Kurt Urban
Performance and check out his web site. He is the premier
builder for Hot Roddin Magazine. I just do not have the time for
another project car. This engine is set up with thruster EFI.
Way cool stuff! I put pictures in there so you can see that the
dist goes in the back and there is a spot for a fuel pump on the
right side of the engine. There is also an Art Carr Transmission
that goes with it and the serpentine belt set up that is off a
corvette. This is not a rebuilt block and heads, again,
everything it brand new!

For
Sale: I am selling my '79 Pontiac Grand Prix Drag
Car. This car is turn-key ready to race. There is so much to
list I will do my best. This would be a great beginner car as it
is race ready.
Paint is in very good condition with a few minor chips and
scratches from normal wear and tear. There is a crack on the
hood scoop (see pic). the scoop is plastic and could either be
fixed or replaced. Nothing major though. Overall Paint is on
good or great condition.
The motor is a Pontiac 400 .30 over to a 406 ci. It has smaller
cc heads which gets the compression up to 12.5to1. It has a 292
comp cam and Harland Sharp Roller rockers. Lots of other good
parts in the motor. Motor has never been Dinoed but the builder
said it should be around 400hp. It has a big 890cfm Demon Carb,
Edelbrock High Rise Intake. Duel electric fan, electric water
pump, fuel pump, no alternator but does have charging posts on
back. No power steering but has small front tires and steering
is not a problem. The motor does not turn any accessories so
pure power to rear tires. The motor has a 2 stage rev limiter
for launching and high end protection. It also has front and
rear brake line locks and is set up to leave the line off of a
button on steering wheel or you can just use the foot brake.
Inside the car is a full cage. A quick release steering wheels
and tach, water, oil temp, push button start with master switch
in back of car. Racing seat with 5 point racing belts. There is
also a helmet hook on the cage and fire extinguisher next to
driver's seat. 5 gallon fuel cell in trunk. Rear racing springs,
alum racing wheels all around.
Rear is a metric but has all aftermarket components. Moser
axels, aftermarket possi spool with 456 gears. This car launches
hard, just put it in drive and it shifts by itself. Tranny is a
built TH350 with 4000rpm stall converter. Special made drive
shaft with beefy U-joints.
The car was last run in September of 2008. As the pic shows on
the window I was running around 12.43 that day. Car usually runs
12.50s on hot summer days. The motor has about 80 passes on it.
And I assure you it is in running condition.
I am selling this car because I just don't have time to race it
anymore and I don't want it to sit around and collect dust
anymore. This is a very good starter car for anyone. Just clean
it up, change oil, put in some race fuel and to have fun. I have
