Former
Street Racer True Story

|
(Street Legal) Grudge racing permits participants to choose their
competition rather than participate in an organized eliminator. Win or
lose, participants may return to the staging lanes for more time trials or
grudge runs. Only legitimate street-legal machines are permitted to
participate. Fully rigged race cars are turned away, though some Street
Legal events may permit open exhausts and/or drag slicks. |

WHAT TO
EXPECT AT THE TRACK
1. Entry /
Registration
When you enter the track, you'll show your valid driver's license and sign a release form
(all participants under 18, must have a minor release form signed by both parents
before you can race - to obtain a minor release form before hand, call 612-280-7301). You'll then receive a tech card after paying your entry/participation fee.
2. Tech
After completing your tech card, you'll drive your vehicle to tech, where a simple safety inspection will be performed on your car.
3. Staging lanes
Once you're inspected, drive to the staging lanes and get ready to race.
4. Race
When it's time for you to race, an official will motion to you. Do a burnout if you'd like, or drive around the water box and get ready to stage. When both cars are ready, you'll stage using the Christmas Tree. At the end of your run, slow down and exit.
5. ET Shack (Timing booth)
After your run, you'll pick up your time slip at the ET Shack to see how your vehicle performed. Then return to the pits
or to staging and get ready for more runs. |
